Here is an overview of events and projects that the Anacostia Coordinating Council will be engaged in during 2019.  The list is chronological by type of event or project type.  Please mark your calendars and join us!


Annual events
  • April  TBA — Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) appreciation reception at DHCD community room and Anacostia Gateway Rooftop Terrace
  • August TBA — Baseball outing, Back-to-school event
  • October 5th — ACC Annual Boat ride
  • December TBA — Holiday celebration and gift drive at Anacostia Playhouse

Join us for a special presentation on the ARSP as we reiterate Mayor Muriel Bowser's commitment to a fishable and swimmable Anacostia River.

About this Event

An ID is required to enter the building for this event.

Please join the Department of Energy and Environment for a Public Meeting about the Anacostia River Sediment Project. You will also have the opportunity to make comments on the Proposed Plan and other supporting documents.

The event will feature a presentation on the project, an opportunity to ask questions, and informational tables where attendees can speak with project staff about different aspects of the project.

You are invited to comment on the study of pollutants in the river sediment and potential risks associated with them.

DOEE will be accepting comments from the public on these documents through January 26, 2020. To submit comments, you can:
  • Attend this event and leave a comment form with program staff

  • Fill out a downloadable comment form (bit.ly/PP_CommentForm) and email it to anacostiariversedimentproject@dc.gov
