In an effort to help revitalize Ward 8 neighborhood associations, ACC is pleased to pass along the news that the Bellevue Neighborhood Citizens Association has elected a new slate of officers to carry it forward.
Residents of Bellevue deserve the credit for attending and participating to breathe new life and energy into what will be an important endeavor. Not only do neighborhood associations maintain the institutional memory and history of neighborhoods, they also serve to stabilize living communities and stand as active representative voices to respond to economic development projects that may enhance or diminish their neighborhood's character and integrity. ACC applauds newly elected officers Kemi Morten, president; Sheila Bunn, vice-president; Cornelia Harris, recording secretary; Jaren Hill Lockridge, corresponding secretary; Jackie Kinlow, treasurer; and Samuel Thomas, assistant treasurer. Remember, all Ward 8 residents with a Southwest address are within Bellevue's area, so please come out and support your Bellevue Neighborhood Citizens Association (BNCA).
